With the resumption of team sports training being initiated by the NI Executive, Cricket is included in Stage 2 of the Executives Pathway of easing restrictions. In conjunction with Sport NI, Cricket Ireland have released their ‘Return to Training’ Protocols which Clubs must adhere to. With competitive sport being allowed to resume in Northern Ireland from Friday 23rd April, restrictions on 15 people only for Senior training have ended although ‘groups of 15’ training for Youth still remain.

For the most comprehensive and up-to-date information regarding this please visit the Cricket Ireland Returning to Training for Clubs page for more information.

One of the requirements of this is for players to complete the self-assessment form. This form is now available online and members can access the link here.

Update on 2021 Season

An official update on the start of the 2021 with fixtures have now started to be issued out with the season beginning on 8th May. All our senior & junior teams will be entered in to their respective leagues & cups for as close to a normal season as possible. It’s expected that for the opening few weekends at least, the season will begin with T20 matches before transitioning to longer formats later on from potentially June 12th onwards. This is all subject to Cricket Ireland allowing the resumption of competitive matches per the NI Executives Pathway to Easing Restrictions.

Please get in contact with the club with any questions or queries and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible. We may not be able to answer all questions, but we encourage you to refer to the Cricket Ireland and NCU websites for the most up-to-date information available.

We look forward to the season beginning very soon!
