Ards U11 v Bangor U11 - 13th June 2014 (League)

Bangor U11 XI

Bangor won the toss and elected to bowl. All the Bangor bowlers bowled well and kept the batsman honest. Each of the bowlers picked up one wicket, and after the 20 over’s were up Bangor had limited Ards to 84 for 6. Bangor’s bowling and fielding came to the fore in keeping Ard’s score down with the best bowling figures being - Flynn Longstaff 1 - 7 off 3 over’s; Chris Pyper 1 for 12 of 3 over’s.

Bangor’s batting now had a chance to shine, and the opening pair did not disappoint by putting on a great partnership of 51 before Oliver Atkinson had to retire at 32. Jonathon Beattie was next in to bat, and with Chris Pyper still batting well the 2 of them managed to pass Ards score with a few over’s to go. Jonathon managed to get the final runs with a towering 6. Bangor finished on 0 for 88 (1 retirement), and won the game by 10 wickets.
